Biography

Sergey Medvedchikov
Freelance photographer and tutor.

IMG_5776_1Born in Tomsk (Russia) in 1973. Started his photographic career in 2000.
2004-and 2009 contributed to a number of magazines as a travel-photographer by shooting scenes in different parts of Russia and other countries.
His photos were published in the issues of Kommersant and «Burda» Publishing Houses, as well as «Russian reporter», «Foto-Travel», «GEO» magazines, etc.

Participant of numerous solo and collective exhibitions all over the world.

2001-2012 – staff photographer of The State Museum of Ceramics and Kuskovo Estate of the XVIII Century.
2008-2011 – Academy of Classic Photography (tutor).
2009-2012 – photo-school «Zoom» (tutor).
2009 – present – designing and conducting photography workshops and photoexpeditions throughout the world.

From 2004 until present – works on his own documentary and local history projects.

Winner (2nd place, series) of Lensculture street photography awards 2019.

Finalist of Short Street Stories project (Trieste Photo Days 2019).

Finalist of Lensculture street photography awards 2016.
